I am a 37 year old mother of two boys. My oldest is turning 5 in July and my baby is 6 months old. My husband and I wanted to have them closer together but we had a miscarriage in between the two and it took us almost 2 1/2 yrs to conceive the second baby!
I finally got pregnant 3 months after the miscarriage and now I have my 
adorable baby boy. My oldest son was so excited to have a baby brother. He would talk to him through my belly button and would always hug and kiss my belly. It was really the sweetest thing. I definitely encouraged this a lot.
My friends and family would say, “oh, he is going to get jealous and resentful”. I decided it didn’t have to be that way. So at Christmas he got a present from the baby and I would encourage him to be the best big brother ever. He truly loves his baby brother and you should see the way the baby looks at him! Like he is the best thing since sliced bread! I don’t know how long this will last but I am encouraging every minute of it. He makes funny faces and the baby laughs and laughs at him. My heart just feels warm to watch them interact together. It really is a beautiful thing. To think I wanted a girl and cried when the ultrasound tech told me he was a boy! I wouldn’t trade him for the world. This new baby has made my life complete.
My husband and I are not sure if we will try one more time for a girl but we can decide that later. For now I am in mommy bliss.
